The Meredith Center Free Will Baptist Church was organized in 1810 with 15 people with meetings held in the school house and homes. In 1831, the church was built. In 1850 a ladies group was organized which made garments for soldiers in the 12th New Hampshire Regiment. In 1859 the steeple was erected, which quickly became a landmark, being the only church in the area with a steeple. In 1917 the church became a member of the Baptist Association, now the American Baptist Convention of Vermont and New Hampshire, ABC/VTNH, and the American Baptist Churches USA.

The Meredith Center Freewill Baptist Church is guided by the pastoral care of Reverend Daniel Wilcox Ward. Pastor Ward is deliberate in preaching God's Word, the Holy Scriptures, and allowing individuals to choose for themselves whether God is real, loving, and good. The concept and question of whether there is life after death is not new and has existed for thousands of years. In addition, many religious faiths also ascribe and teach a final judgement or an accounting of our time on this earth when we depart. Pastor Ward seeks to encourage and inspire the members of our local community church to be faithful to Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, and to continue the work of ministry by sharing the good news of forgiveness and eternal life in Christ Jesus. We welcome you to come visit, worship with us, and meet our congregation and Pastor Daniel Ward.

With Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the Head of the Church and the Holy Scriptures, God's Word, as its Authority, The Meredith Center Freewill Baptist Church exists to advance and proclaim the Love and Grace of God to the Local Community and the entire World, until He returns to redeem all those found in Him.​

This affiliation is established through our regional partnership with The American Baptist Churches of Vermont and New Hampshire - ABCVNH. Together we partner in ministry through our shared collective Denominational beliefs and Mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the common good of all peoples. Within this structure of Christian Leadership all ABC churches maintain private autonomy to govern and rule their own churches and ministry activities and practices through shared beliefs and devotion to God, Almighty. They are currently undergoing significant changes in administrative, leadership, website and ministry as Rev. Dale Edwards is retiring. Changes are being made to improve and help to better their purpose and mission to the local ABC churches.
